Doubts on where to do pilot medical in Malaysia and its requirements?

Greetings to all  the aviators out there.

I apologize that I have been idling for quite some time due to busy.

Anyway, lately I have been received may inquiries about the pilot medical requirements.
Some asking me about the vision, height, weight and etc.
Some pilot wanna be is then asking me about where they can go for the pilot medical check up in Malaysia.

Well, hereby I will provide all the information that you will need.

Kindly click HERE.It will direct you to the Malaysia Department Civil of Aviation and it brings all the info about the pilot medical requirements. Your doubts will totally be cleared after reading it.

All the best to the pilot wanna be , future pilots are attending their airlines medical and self sponsor pilots in Malaysia.

Can a pilot wear spec.? What's visual acuity?

Few days back I went for a small gathering. It comes to my concern of...

"Are you sure that a person who wears spec. can become a pilot?"

This question has actually been many aspiring pilots' worry.

Well, I'm not so sure about the PAST. What I know is PRESENT.

A pilot can wear a spec.. I remember those days when I was having no clues about how to become a pilot, it's one of my worries as well. I'm not a perfect fellow. I do have short sighted. Though power is less than 150. That time I was doubted. Shall I wear the spec. to correct back my vision ? Shall I do LASIK to get back the perfect vision? Shall I just leave it like that? Though my power for both eyes aren't that high. But it did make me worried before for... what if I need to wear spec.? Will they fail me because i'm wearing the spec.? Will they fail me because i don't have a perfect eyesight? All these questions came to my brain and kept wondered round and round.

Well, If YOU, A PILOT WANNA BE, facing the same like me, then i can say...STOP Worrying for it.

Aviation has aviation law. For the safety purpose, we need to meet it fundamental requirements. You can basically get the info. from AIC to understand what will be checked during medical check up, what's the min. requirement, where to do the check up,... & etc.

Back to the topic. For eyesight,
VISUAL ACUITY
class 1:
AT LEAST 6/9 IN EACH EYE SEPARATELY, & 6/6 WITH OR WITHOUT CORRECTION WITH BOTH EYES.
class 2:
AT LEAST 6/1 2 IN EACH EYE SEPARATELY, & 6/9 WITH OR WITHOUT CORRECTION WITH BOTH EYES.
class3:
AT LEAST 6/9 IN EACH EYE SEPARATELY, & 6/6 WITH OR WITHOUT CORRECTION WITH BOTH EYES

Wondering what is "visual acuity" , what is "6/9" , "6/6"...?
Here is the link for you to understand it.

In short, you can still be a pilot as long as after you correcting your vision with spec., your vision acuity can back to 6/6. It's just like a person who has short sighted, thereafter wearing a spec., he/she can see the wording/objects clearly. As simple as that.

If you're still worried your eyes power are too high, you may consider to do LASIK or contact aviation panel doctor about this. This is the panel doctor that i did my medical check up. If you need the whole list of the panel doctors in Malaysia which suit your location, email to me and i will send it to you.

ICAO code for Malaysia aerodromes/airports

When talking about the aerodromes/airports in Malaysia, ever you think of how many airports/aerodromes we have in Malaysia? Never count on it?! Answer in you brain is still.. : erm...ar.. I know we have KLIA, Subang there, Sabah & Sarawak sure got "lo(then)" else how to fly to borneo island?, My own state got..... What else the answer can you give?

Well, I do count it! It does pick up my curiousity of... A small potato size (West Malaysia) can have how many aerodromes/airports? How about the lion size (East Malaysia) ? I started to wonder when I ought to head my head down to a Geography book by memorising the states which produce "kelapa sawit"(palm oil estate). I started to complain in my heart... why don't you have something nicer for me to memorise like the airports available in Malaysia but "Kelapa Sawit"(Palm oil estate)?? =.=" >.<" @@"" For the year of 2010, In Malaysia we have..... (Information from AIP).
*Base on ICAO(International Civil Aviation Organisation) code.

18 aerodromes/airports for my 'potato' states (West Malaysia) while 10 aerodromes/airports for my 'lion'(East Malaysia) states. 28 in total. Are you having the same as me? (I know I'm just too freeeee though. :P)

Well, West Malaysia starts with WM.. while East Malaysia starts with WB.. That's the Simplest way to differentiate it. Learn up your aerodromes. They're more stuffs you're required to know in DETAIL when you start flying.

Current airports/aerodromes I keep using from the most... WMKM, WMKJ, WMSA and WMKK.
Have learned up your nearest airport in ICAO by checking the google now?
It saves the task simple by just typing/writing with ICAO code instead of a long airport name.
