Flight Training Academy...? Nothing to be blame on!
I have seen quite lots of cases that : students are stucked for their training!
Well, some cases.... I feel sorry, indeed.
When I hear it... OMG~ But i couldn't help out anything other than putting sympathy on you.
Eg. The flight training academy went bankrupt in Australia. Money couldn't be refunded.
(Well, by the law, Ok~ I'm not so sure for overseas, but for Malaysia, yes! It's stated that it's depends on what type of company(flight training academy) be registered as. Once it has gone bankrupt, you really can't do anything on it other than just assuming you have 'invested' the money to the 'wrong academy' which 'failed' to provide you the training services.)
Some cases, student pilots are stucked due to the flight academy is going through some difficulty.
Same thing, you can blame it. At first, you have chosen to believe that gonna be the best school to provide you the flight training with that price! So why wanna complain for it? Again, assuming your 'invested money' has gone frozen for a short temporary then. Life has up and down. Nothing you can do, ain't you? Unless you're capable to help out and solve that 'big trouble'.
Some cases, student pilots are stucked due to their own. One who never realises his/her attitude has gone with problems, can actually cause whole course be delayed. With that, it be pointed to the flight academy again. What's the point? Your excuses will only be turn down with a shame later on. Sigh...
Some cases, student pilots are complaining after graduating, they are jobless. Well, did a University ensure you a job after you grad.? Think about it! Even the market demand outside is low, you still choosing to learn as a student pilot. Hence, who's false is that? Ain't a pilot should actually ready some works(research.. just like do up some flight plan before the flight depart?). Where's your effort before joining the flight academy? Therefore, who should be blamed?
Whatever the case may happen....
Guys and gals,
for the pilot wanna be,
for the real passion you have,
next time open your eyes 'big big'....check the history of the schools, check the current market...
whatever its gonna happen, ready to bear the consequences by yourself.
Honestly, I feel sympathy for it. But that's the 'decision making' which you had made beforehand. We are now adult. Learn how to bear the consequence by ourselves. Nothing to be blame on...BUT OURSELVES!
For those who got involving.. i'm sorry to hear and see it.
For those who got escaped from this situation..with the god bless, so with mine, all the best for your future undertaking!
Keep your flying passion alive and keep moving for your life!
Pardon for any typo, spelling mistakes and etc.

SPM holder, art stream student, ... are they still qualified to be a pilot?
"I don't take any physic subject during school time. Can i still be a pilot?"
My answer to you is.. "O yea~! Why not?!"
"I only have SPM result. Am i qualified to be a pilot?"
My answer to you still is.. "If you're keen for it, why not?!"
Well, science is a general subject. Science during the school time divides into Physic, Chemistry and Biology. This "P" , "B" and "C" are still belong to science subject. Just that Science is general while that 3 are more detail.
In Malaysia, NOW, the system is mentioning... as long as you got CREDIT for it. I've seen many people who are from art stream, they still got the approval letter from DCA to pursing their piloting course. And those art stream students who already graduated from Academy, they're doing fine. So , WHY NOT?
Personal experience:
Myself was a pure science (physic, chemistry and biology) student and thereafter a physic-chemistry student. Learning the subject initially in Malaysia language and later on in English. The notice i found is Physic does help you to understand in more detail for part of the aviation subjects. Learning it in English, make you catch up certain terminologies faster as well(because you've used to it). Compare with a general science student, I only can comment, although those general science students they know in a very general// surface stuffs compare with pure science students, but when they've the strong determination/spirit with them, FUYOH~~~ Don't underestimate them! Their willingness can anytime surpass a physic student. If the general science student can't overtake the physic student, at least, both will be about the same level, be able to compete with each other. Therefore, there's no way for saying because the SPM subject of yours was just general science, so you've no confidence//you're not qualified to be a pilot. That's applied to you're a SPM student while others are STPM/matric./degree/master/prof. ^^
For a private student, YES! You still can get your approval from DCA to pursuing your dream. But to be sponsored by the airlines, Erm... this is a bit tough. I haven't seen anyone got it without any pure science subject. (Probably have, but just I.. i mean me only, don't have//never see any buddy get it). Normally the airlines in Malaysia will state either you have a B4 //A2 in that subject. Well, don't get too depressed. Give it a try, try never bring any harm. :)
Anyway, that's just for pure science and general science. If you be able to join it as a private, there's always no such thing as... : you're a pure science student, you're smarter. OR you hold a degree while i'm just a SPM student, my study surely can't compete with your level.
For the above 2 statements, I can only say, it all depends. Who's determination is stronger? Who starts to get slacked off? Who is more keen? Who...?
In Mandarin, a proverb say "人比人,气死人". (human competes with human, at the end one may die in such competition). It's used to describe when 2 buddies are competing, 1 of the buddies will definitely keep getting unhappy, depressed, angry, and etc. just because he/she has lost in the competition and because he/she would like to win the competition in whatever way he/she owns. At the end, he/she may win the competition but he/she may die in his/her inner exhausted. Worth it?
If it's a positive competition, hell yea..Go for it! If it's a negative competition from the inner self of you, Stop it man! Don't hurt yourself and just do the best for your part/what you're supposed to do.
An instructor said to me before, If you never choose to trust your own ability, how the hell are you going to expect people can trust on your capability in doing it? The simplest example to give... your sponsor may not dare to give you such a lump sum if you don't have the capability in achieving it.
If you're a SPM student while they're degree/master holder (provided you're really keen to be a pilot), go for it! There's nothing to fear with. If your English language isn't good enough compare with others (provided you're really keen to be a pilot), go for it! From time to time, you will learn. Don't feel upset and down for yourself with your own qualification. Just do the best of yours and you will still be able to create your own path one day!
**No offense to those other than SPM holders ya. :)
This post is created when I was talking to a person who're sad for his academic result. It also reminds me some of my friends by talking , they wish to be a pilot but then telling me they're afraid with their English speaking, science knowledge and etc. At the end they chose to give up in joining this aviation field instead of this aviation field give up on them. =(
If you be able to let go of your dream, I can't comment much. That's your decision.
I only know I'm the type of, If it's my dream, I will do my best to make my dream comes true and make my dream be recognized by the people whom I wanted to. If it's hard for me to achieve it, I'll keep striking hard on it till i make it. No matter how, there's no way for me to let go my dream and ask me to keep my dream forever as a dream. Bring the dream to reality and stay with it. That's what I can describe part of my character.
Determination . Motivation . Passion . Sincerity .
Good luck to my friends & blog readers who still keen to be a pilot. =)

Wondering why there will be so many air crashes...
When you're part of the members in aviation, especially as an aviator as known as a pilot, you do will come across a conversation of...
"Hey, you know?! XXX place gt XXX in trouble/crashed! XX person involved, currently..."
Everything can just happen in a second! I do wonder that when will be mine?! I admit that I did experience an engine quit in sudden with no reason before. Nevertheless, compare with many, it's just a small case to handle with in that kind of situation. For a much more critical one...when? Tomorrow? Next year? 10 years later...? Frankly speaking, the moment I heard all these cases, 1st few thing come to my mind is... : Are the pilot(s) OKay? What aircraft? From where and happen at where? What's the cause of it? Always, that 4 questions will catch my brain keep thinking. Well, learn from the mistake. To be exact, LEARN FROM OTHER PEOPLE MISTAKE! I do and never wish it will really happen to me. Maybe one day it will, and I do hope by that time it happen, I'm always ready to face it with calm.
I remember in aviation conversation, my friends and i came to the same view...
"Plan to the worst as you can never expect will happen for the next second"
It's freaking true. Be a pilot, you're always need to be ready with Engine failure/Power lost, engine on fire, Bird strike, Electrical failure, Alternator failure, Suction failure, Circuit breaker pop-up, Extremely bad weather, ...... etc. Anything you be able to mention in the aircraft, it will have its tendency to get malfunction. Even you have planned for a Nav., you'll need to plan "outside" than you routes for in case/emergency. You may not know that the runway is closed for temporary/the weather is bad enough and you need to hold/ you're required to divert/ your passenger isn't feeling well/... Always, that's the worst scenario has to be plan. Not only check for the destination aerodrome but to check with the aerodrome which may pass by/abeam/the nearest. Understand its plan view, length,... A lot. That's where a COMPLICATED flight can be brought up.
Recently I've been heading my head in NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board). Though I've too many stuffs on queuing, somehow, I still wish that i can spend some time to read up what had happened in the past air crashed which NTSB be able to investigated/pointed out. Understand the summaries can bring the help in more awareness.
I'll try my best in posting in each post... or reader(s) can also actually obtain it from NTSB website.

The docket is stored in the Docket Management System (
Accident occurred Sunday, January 01, 2006 in Phenix City, AL
Probable Cause Approval Date: 3/28/2006
Aircraft: Piper PA-23-160, registration: N4370P
Injuries: 1 Serious, 1 Minor, 1 Uninjured.
The private pilot was on a visual flight rules cross country flight when he began encountering instrument conditions. The pilot continued into the instrument conditions for about 30 minutes before asking Atlanta Approach Control for directions to the nearest airport for landing. The controller directed the pilot to two different nearby airports but both were below minimums. The pilot informed the controller that he was low on fuel and needed to land as soon as possible. The controller directed the pilot to the Columbus Metropolitan Airport, Columbus, Georgia. The pilot told the controllers that he would attempt an Instrument approach. The pilot attempted four unsuccessful approaches with the controllers talking him through each approach. On the fifth approach, at five miles from the runway the pilot stated that both engine's quit due to fuel exhaustion. The pilot called "mayday" and during the forced landing the airplane collided with trees and the ground separating the right wing, half of the left wing, and coming to rest inverted. The pilot did not report any mechanical deficiencies with the airplane during the attempted approaches.
The National Transportation Safety Board determines the probable cause(s) of this accident as follows:
The pilot's inadequate decision to continue VFR flight into IMC conditions, which resulted in a loss of engine power due to fuel exhaustion."
